Some trips sit at exactly the wrong distance. Eighteen minutes on foot, or six in the car plus five spent looking for a space, which nets out to almost nothing. So you stand in the hallway with the keys in one hand doing arithmetic you already did twice this week, and the trip has not started yet.
The two sides are not really about minutes. Walking is the version where you arrive a little later in a noticeably better mood, and where the errand quietly counts as the day's movement. Driving is the version where you can carry things, stay dry, and leave the moment you want to. Both are fine, which is why the wheel has anything to do here at all.
It is also easy to say when not to spin. Ice, an unlit road with no sidewalk, a crate of shopping, a child who cannot make the distance, or a hard deadline all decide for you, and no random result should override that. Keep the spin for genuinely even trips, and let real conditions veto any result without a second thought.
